As a consultant, helped a regional, volunteer-run non-profit organization secure $50,000 in private funding, with more funding opportunities pending.
As a consultant, successfully submitted 10 grants to local foundations for Marfa, TX non-profit, resulting in over $25,000.
As a consultant, worked with City of El Paso staff on large $1million grant request from State funding program, awarded in October 2016. Also helped staff write & secure $75,000 grant from federal program for water conservation efforts, awarded in August 2017.
Successfully created and implemented the first, second, and third Community Gardens within El Paso City Parks, fully funded by private/CDBG grants, donations, and volunteers
Managed construction projects for numerous public park/trail improvements (TPWD, TXDOT, City, other funds) including budget oversight and regulation compliance
Served on Review Panel for several grant funding cycles at private Foundation
Created and facilitated a public open space design for public/private partnership (resulting space received Chamber of Commerce Beautification Award, 1st Quarter 2006.)
Monitored, analyzed & coordinated correspondence for area TDHCA housing projects (Houston)
Created/Implemented Training/User’s Manual for Comprehensive Army Master Planning System (CAMPS) created for Fort Hood (TX), Installation Design Guide section

Wrote, coordinated and managed staff and consultants to create multiple Parks Master Plans (eligible for TPWD grants), Streetscape Identity Plan (in compliance with TXDOT), and numerous project-specific development plans
Provided staff analysis and recommendations for Trail and Open Space projects using earmarked City of El Paso Quality of Life bond funding
Helped draft the 2009 Fort Hood Real Property Master Plan, including related maps in GIS
Researched water & related environmental codes & issues; Catalogued 1,000 Texas Legislative bills for both the 2001 and 2003 Texas Legislative Sessions
Managed team conducting on-site Real Property Assessments and Inventories on Army post
Conducted site selection & analysis, including attending charrettes for project planning & design
Conducted state-wide benchmark study to improve City of Austin’s infrastructure performance

Lead citizen-leaders/activists to reprioritize the Open Space Master Plan for City of El Paso
